Overview
Lotus AVK Engineering is a Singapore construction and renovation firm based in Woodlands Industrial Park. It covers interior design, carpentry, demolition, plumbing, painting, electrical work and general construction, and it is BCA-registered and bizSAFE 3 certified.
The challenge
The firm already had a name, a logo and a website, but no leave-behind: something a site manager could hand over after a walk-through, or reception could keep on the counter. The brief was a single DL trifold of six panels that would do everything, with no second brochure and no per-service variants.
Approach
Trifolds are read in a predictable order, so we loaded each panel in the order a reader reaches it:
- Front cover: the lotus mark, a warm interior hero shot, the tagline and the URL.
- Contact pillar: a purple panel with a large phone number, a short statement, a site photo and full contact details. It works on its own even if the brochure is folded the wrong way.
- Back: a six-up grid of ongoing project photos, linking to the online portfolio.
- About: a completed exterior, three short paragraphs, and the BCA and bizSAFE badges.
- Services: eight services as a checked list, a "Contact now" pill, and a before-and-after pair of kitchen photos.
- Why choose us: five one-line reasons, each with an icon.
The client's existing purple carries the accents. White is the only neutral, and photography does most of the work. We used two sans typefaces and no decorative type, because the brochure gets about ten seconds on a site doorstep.
We delivered a print-ready CMYK PDF at 300 dpi with 3mm bleed, crop marks and trim-safe text, plus an RGB share version with per-panel PNGs for WhatsApp and email, and two mockup renders. The logo and website were already in place before we came in.
Outcome
The project went from brief to press-ready PDF in 7 days. The print file went to the printer without a single round of revisions.
